1 Et après ces choses j’entendis une grande voix d’un grand nombre de personnes dans le ciel, disant: Alleluia; Salut, et gloire, et honneur, et pouvoir, au Seigneur notre Dieu:

 1 And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:

2 Car véritables et droits sont ses jugements: car il a jugé la grande prostituée, laquelle a corrompu la terre par sa fornication, et il a vengé le sang de ses serviteurs de la main de celle-ci.

 2 For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.

3 Et de nouveau ils dirent: Alleluia. Et sa fumée s’éleva pour toujours et à jamais.

 3 And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.

4 Et les vingt-quatre anciens et les quatre bêtes tombèrent à terre et adorèrent Dieu qui était assis sur le trône, disant: Amen; Alleluia.

 4 And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.

5 Et une voix sortit du trône, disant: Louez notre Dieu, vous tous ses serviteurs, et vous qui le craignez, aussi bien petits que grands.

 5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.

6 Et j’entendis comme si c’était la voix d’une grande multitude, et comme la voix de nombreuses eaux, et comme la voix de puissants tonnerres, disant: Alleluia: car le Seigneur Dieu omnipotent règne.

 6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.

7 Soyons contents et réjouissons-nous, et rendons-lui honneur: car le mariage de l’Agneau est venu, et son épouse s’est préparée.

 7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

8 Et à elle fit accordé qu’elle soit parée d’un fin lin, net et blanc: car le fin lin est la droiture des saints.

 8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

9 Et il me dit: Écris, Bénis sont ceux qui sont appelés au souper du mariage de l’Agneau. Et il me dit: Ce sont là les véritables dires de Dieu.

 9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

10 Et je tombai à ses pieds pour l’adorer. Et il me dit: Veille à ne pas le faire: je suis ton compagnon de service, et de tes frères qui ont le témoignage de Jésus: adore Dieu: car le témoignage de Jésus est l’esprit de la prophétie.

 10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

11 Et je vis le ciel ouvert, et voici un cheval blanc; et celui qui était assis sur lui était appelé Fidèle et Vrai, et avec droiture il juge et fait la guerre.

 11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

12 Ses yeux étaient comme une flamme de feu, et sur sa tête il y avait plusieurs couronnes; et il avait un nom écrit, qu’aucun homme ne connaissait, que lui-même.

 12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

13 Et il était vêtu d’une vesture trempée dans le sang: et son nom s’appelle La Parole de Dieu.

 13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

14 Et les armées qui étaient au ciel le suivaient sur des chevaux blancs, vêtues de fin lin, blanc et net.

 14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

15 Et de sa bouche sort une épée acérée, avec laquelle il frappera les nations: et il les dirigera avec un bâton de fer: et il piétine le pressoir de la férocité et du courroux du Dieu Tout-Puissant.

 15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

16 Et il a sur sa vesture et sur sa cuisse un nom écrit, ROI DES ROIS ET SEIGNEUR DES SEIGNEURS.

 16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

17 Et je vis un ange se tenant dans le soleil; et il cria d’une voix retentissante, disant à tous les rapaces qui volent au milieu du ciel: Venez, et assemblez-vous au souper du grand Dieu;

 17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;

18 Afin que vous puissiez manger la chair des rois, et la chair des capitaines, et la chair des hommes puissants, et la chair des chevaux, et de ceux qui sont assis sur eux, et la chair de tous les hommes, aussi bien libres qu’asservis, aussi bien petits que grands.

 18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.

19 Et je vis la bête, et les rois de la terre, et leurs armées, assemblées pour faire la guerre contre celui qui était assis sur le cheval, et contre son armée.

 19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.

20 Et la bête fut prise, et avec elle le faux prophète qui avait effectué des miracles devant elle, avec lesquels il avait trompé ceux qui avaient reçu la marque de la bête, et ceux qui avaient adoré son image. Tous deux furent jetés vivants dans un lac de feu brûlant de soufre.

 20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

21 Et le reste fut tué par l’épée de celui qui était assis sur le cheval, laquelle épée sortait de sa bouche: et tous les rapaces furent rassasiés de leur chair.

 21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.
